Puerto Rico needs help. Federal Gov incapable.

lets make a list!

Treasure Coast Free Press

Puerto Rico needs help. Federal Gov incapable.

This morning Trump posted this:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) website has removed key statistics on Puerto Rico’s recovery from Hurricane Maria from its website, according to The Washington Post.

On Wednesday, just 5 percent of Puerto Rico had electricity and only 50 percent had water.

Do we have to do everything? Apparently this White House is not capable.

I have suggestions. What are yours?

FEMA works on electricity and water
Call all the volunteers red cross, salvation army etc who have received donations to put their heads together and come up with a plan.
habitat for humanity.
All states have mrcs with trained nurses. Call on states to help.

ACOE breaks 6000cfs per second, slaughtering the St Lucie River/Indian River Lagoon

OMg! we’re getting slaughtered

Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch

The following is a texting conversation between my brother, Todd, and me, just over an hour ago.  As you can see, Todd keeps me in real-time. Now, I wish to share with you.

Todd: Hi Jacqui, looks like it’s “balls to the wall” —like the old jet fighter saying.
Lake O is at 17 feet and rising…

Jacqui: Holy —! Didn’t Gary Goforth say the max for S-80 is 12,000 CFS? How much is this?

Todd: This is normal high-end. ~4000 cfs. In 2004-2005 it looks like they maxed at 5-6000cfs. I’ll graph against the lake stage.

Jacqui: How do u know it’s 4000? I see nothing posted 4 today on ACOE site.

Todd: My app and links on my website. http://w3.saj.usace.army.mil/h2o/reports/DssWeb/rtcomps/basins/Okeechobee.htm

Jacqui: Thx that  ACOE Jacksonville Lake O site doesn’t show, will go to http://www.thurlowpa.com/news.htm

Todd: S-80 hit 6,727 cfs on 10/06/2004. The lake was at 17.86 and rising it…

Trump to Comey: “You’re Fired!”

Treasure Coast Free Press

Donald Trump Fired James Comey yesterday. Trump send his consigliare to personally deliver a letter to Comey.  Except he was not there. He was in LA addressing employees.

While he was speaking the background began flashing the news.

This whole thing obviously orchestrated for maximum humiliation of Mr. Comey.

This should bring chills to every America and especially the people who work in our premier agencies like the FBI and the CIA. Trump has no compunction to humiliate anyone.

Mr. Comey learned from news reports that he had been fired while addressing bureau employees in Los Angeles. While Mr. Comey spoke, television screens in the background began flashing the news. In response to the reports, Mr. Comey laughed, saying that he thought it was a fairly funny prank. Shortly after, Mr. Trump’s letter was delivered to F.B.I. Headquarters in Washington.

FCC investigating Steven Colbert’s remarks

Treasure Coast Free Press

I’m a big fan of CBS (except for when they cancelled The Good Wife.) I watch the morning show every morning. If something comes out of the mouths of Charlie Rose, Gayle and Norah I believe it. I trust them. I DVR the evening news. I also watch almost exclusively local. There have been a few aggravating days like when that edited tap of the dog in a Dog Purpose came out from Peta and they were polling people about seeing the movie without waiting (I told you so!) to find it out it was all a bunch of bs. I watch Sunday morning with Jane Pauley and I watch Face the Nation.

Why? Because these people appeal to my documentary film making and nurse charting brain. When you chart in medicine you simply write the truth. This happened. That happened. This is what I did and this is how…

Florida Crystals uses Florida prisoners

Who knew? I don’t hear the people in the Glades upset about this?

Treasure Coast Free Press

Sitting this morning listening to WPTV Michael Williams talk to Eric Eikenberg from the Everglades Foundation.

Sitting here in happiness as we inch closer to an agreement with the legislature to build a reservoir south of the lake. Eric is confident that this is going to happen. Yay. Other people have told me privately they are confident that this is going to happen. Michael brings up Amendment 1 that we all voted for. I just sit here and pray.

Eric talks about how this was passed 17 years ago. No one is attacking agriculture. He reminds us that big sugar wanted to sell this land a few years ago. He reminds us that we need this reservoir. The water must go down to the Florida Keys as mother nature intended or she wouldn’t have made it that way.

So far so good.

Then it is mentioned that Florida Prisoners work…
